Getting Ready to Go
It's been a few years since my last bike tour, and as I've been on my life journey into my 70's I figured that maybe my days of bicycle touring were over. But for some time I've talked with my friend Paul Meincke about doing the Pittsburgh to Washington tour via the GAP trail and the C&O towpath. Although it was something that he and I had talked about in the past, it was just idle chat until earlier this year when he asked me if I still wanted to do it. And now, here we are less than a week from setting out on this six-day, 335 mile adventure.
